Yoga of mindfulness - meditation in movement

In Mindful Yoga classes, a Hatha yoga sequence is practiced that consciously incorporates the aspect of mindfulness into the yoga practice. It can also be called meditation in motion. This class is about being in the moment without pressure to perform and mindfully perceiving your body, breath and mental movements.

We return “back to yoga roots”, to yoga that is much more comprehensive than a set of physical exercises. Mindful yoga challenges and trains the body and mind in equally. Incorporating a mindfulness into yoga practice has many benefits. It promotes body perception, body awareness, mobility and flow of movement, supports the development of a healthy posture, helps to strengthen, detoxify and cleanse the entire organism, reduce stress and achieve and maintain inner balance.

Combining postures (asanas) and movement sequences with mindfulness, directing attention to physical and mental experiences helps to strengthen body connection. By learning to pay more attention to our body, we reduce the risk of poor posture and injuries and become more aware of mental processes. That helps us to adopt a mindful attitude towards everything we do and everything we encounter in everyday life.
