Iyengar Classes at YogaKula
every Monday 17:00 - 18:30 & Friday 11:00 - 12:30

Iyengar Yoga helps train the mind to focus and bring more awareness to
our habitual postures and ways of moving. Instruction is both
appropriate for beginners with no experience, as well as experienced
practitioners and teachers looking to learn poses in more detail. Over
the course of the month, we cycle through the different pose families,
including standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twist and
restoratives, so each class will be unique. The goal over time is to
feel more grounded and build mental stability in the face of challenges.


About Jane:

I am a physiotherapist and have been practicing yoga since ~2000, and did my first teacher training in 2004. I have been certified to teach Hatha Yoga since 2005. More recently, I did Patricia Walden’s Iyengar Teacher Training. I assisted Patricia for 2 years and was certified to teach Iyengar Yoga in 2019.

As a physiotherapist, I love the precision of Iyengar’s method and the systematic way of learning the asanas. I love chanting and reading the Yoga Sutras which offer us a pragmatic and non-dogmatic way to live skillfully.
