In this workshop we will study the first series of Ashtanga Yoga (Yoga Chikitsa) and dive into the basic principles of Ashtanga Yoga practice and the traditional Ashtanga "Mysore Style".
During the workshop we will explore all the asanas (postures) of the first series and understand how they flow together into a harmonious flow. We will look at each posture in detail and discuss proper alignment, safe practice and possible modifications.This workshop will prepare you to participate in Ashtanga Mysore style classes: an independent and self-directed practice where each student practices at their own pace, develops strong skills, and can receive highly personalized guidance.
The goal of the workshop is to provide a solid foundation in the first series of Ashtanga Yoga, the confidence to attend a Mysore class, and to enjoy the benefits of independent practice with individual supervision.
