Joan Hyman
Originally from Philadelphia, Joan earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Temple University. Shortly after finishing college, she moved to New York City to pursue a professional dance career, and it was there that she discovered yoga. Soon after, she relocated to Santa Monica, California, where she completed the YogaWorks Teacher Training with the renowned Maty Ezraty and Lisa Walford in 2002, followed by further study with Annie Carpenter, who is known for her SmartFlow® system of highly intelligent sequencing. Joan received her YogaWorks Certification in 2006 then took her first trip to Mysore, India to study with the beloved Sri K. Pattihbi Jois and his grandson Sharath Rangaswamy. Since then, she has traveled extensively throughout India and has been blessed to study with world-renowned teachers in far-off places where she has enjoyed unplugging from the Western way of living, fully embracing the yogic lifestyle and immersing herself in her practices.
Jeanne Heileman
Jeanne Heileman. – MA, 500-ERYT, YACEP, Founder of Tantra Flow Yoga™, Jeanne brings together more than 36 years of yoga study with over 25 years of teaching into a style of yoga inclusive of asana, Ayurveda, Pranayama, meditation, and the added focus of cultivating energy. She has studied extensively in ParaYoga, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara, ParaYoga, Vini and Tantra Yoga with many masters in each tradition. Jeanne teaches with sensitivity, generosity of spirit and a lot of humor. She specializes in discovering the needs of an individual and gently guiding students to their own grace and balance. Jeanne’s classes weave attention on alignment and play through the poses, usually following a specific theme. Borrowing from her rich history of study and practice, you will be guided through intelligent, creative sequencing. We break out of the box, wisely. Each flow class often opens with a short Pranayama session that sets the tone for the rest of the class. Tantric elements will be woven in secretly as we work on a specific pose or set of actions throughout the class. Our main goal is to move, breathe, and explore space with our bodies. Based in Los Angeles, she is often found traveling the globe teaching trainings, workshops and master classes.
Simon Park
Simon began his Yoga journey in 1995 with Shiva Rea in the World Arts and Cultures Department at UCLA. Soon thereafter, he became immersed in the great atmosphere of the original YogaWorks studios in Santa Monica where he completed his first teacher training with Maty Ezraty in 1998. A move home to Philadelphia led to an opportunity to study with senior Iyengar Teacher, Joan White, and the legendary yogi Dharma Mittra. After apprenticing with Shiva Rea as an assistant, Simon began leading his own workshops, teacher trainings, and retreats - eventually worldwide. In 2007, Yoga Journal acclaimed Simon as, "one of the most influential and gifted Yoga teachers of the next generation.” His free-style Vinyasa is fluid, intuitive, and encourages freedom through self expression. Simon is profoundly influenced by the teachings of Shiva Rea, Richard Freeman, Maty Ezraty, Joan White, and Dharma Mitra - his core teachers for the past 20+ years. Simon's blend of these influences finds a beautiful alchemy in his style, Liquid Flow Yoga, a mix of classical and modern Yoga. Recently, Simon returned to his educational roots by creating a Yoga Program for Princeton University. Dubbed the "Flying Nomad," he draws inspiration from road legends such as Jimi Hendrix who aptly stated, "the Earth is my home.”

What Teacher Training Graduates say:
"Everyone always told me that the YTT will be transformative and will change your life - I couldn’t really imagine what that meant until I finished the training with Joan Hyman at YogaKula in Vienna. Not only was the content (reaching from philosophy, Ayurveda, Asanas to Pranayama and meditation, etc.) very interesting and mind-opening, Joan also taught it in a way that is rarely seen in teachers. She is such a competent and mindful teacher that follows a firm and strict teaching method but approaches every single student in a very loving way. Our group consisted of such amazing people and we grew together in such a strong way that made the goodbyes very hard. Learning about the practice and philosophy of classical Yoga and putting the focus on the learning and growing rather on performance or competition was the key. YogaKula and it’s very warm and lovely environment made this experience even more wonderful. Eva and Anna are such warm-hearted women that have created a little paradise in the center of Vienna. I just loved spending so much time there with such lovely yogis and positive energy."
