"Your entire life is a form of self-expression. You exist as a creative being in a creative universe. A singular work of art. " - Rick Reuben

Discover Yoga teaching as a wonderful platform for your creativity and a powerful tool to create change in your life and the lives of others.

Develop dynamic actions

Develop a thorough understanding of the dynamic actions required to make each pose vibrant and alive. Vinyasa Flow Yoga has a powerful potential to be complete practice: therapeutic and energizing for the body/mind, a wonderful way to express your creativity, and a philosophy for spiritual growth. We will begin with the practice of embodiment: a yoga practice that is fluid, dynamic, and informative. Learn essential teaching skills to transmit the learning from our own experience in a creative and compelling way to your students. Built on a foundation of Yoga as a healing practice, learn tools such as constructing a compelling class with peak pose sequencing, reading and assessing bodies, educating students with hands on assists, precise verbal instruction, and introducing ideas that inspire. The aim is make the practice of our students more effortless, joyful, alive, and meaningful.

Physical and Energetic principles

Gain a better understanding of the physical and energetic principles from the Ashtanga, Iyengar, and modern Vinyasa Yoga systems. We will examine how the universal principles and the unique wisdom of each style can greatly enhance our overall understanding of balance and energy flow in our body/mind system. Also, we will discuss how to find and embrace a yoga practice that complements our lives and our students' lives. Learn to develop yoga classes and privates for diverse backgrounds and different levels, integrating a deeper understanding of alignment to help your students safely grow in their practice.

Inner Journey

Explore the inner journey of the physical practice. Creating space for self exploration is perhaps one of the difficult and suble aspects of teaching Yoga. This skill may be one of the most important; allowing students to pass from a purely physical space toward self inquiry and growth. You may simply wish to deepen your personal practice or teach Yoga for the rest of your life. Your background, your reasons for practice and the special way you view the world will mold your unique vision of Yoga. Allow your creativity to flow and stoke your passion for Yoga. Become dedicated to moving away from scripted teaching toward creative artistry… the process of becoming absolutely present with your students.

Topics to be explored
