Learn how to balance your hips, not just open them.

Healthy hips are important for the low back, legs and feet to move well without pain.

Looking at anatomy and healthy alignment you will discover how your hips are meant to move and how you can improve both flexibility and stability. We start small with somatic-influenced gentle movement to experience your anatomy. Working up to poses like pigeon and baddha konasana we create heat in the hips with a steady flowing asana sequence. Then we spend plenty of time with effective stretches and releasing postures. The workshop will end with a deep relaxation.

You will learn about why hips are an emotionally charged area to unlock, and how to breathe consciously while safely exploring your range of movement. This is especially important if you sit a lot, ride a bicycle, get lower back pain, or feel tight in your hips and hamstrings.
