Sun Salutations require a lot of control, strength, softness, and stability, but many of us miss the chance to optimize them. If you practice ashtanga or vinyasa regularly, just think of how many Sun Salutations you do every week! Improving the mechanics of this series offers a tremendous opportunity to build strength and flexibility. Over time, even a small change in movement could lead to alleviating pain in your shoulders, back, wrists, or hips. A small change could also invite stability and greater ease. Fine tuning your movements through good mechanics and better awareness of your body can take your practice to the next level.

This workshop is for any yoga practitioner who wants to better learn or improve their Sun Salutation.

In this workshop, we will:

  • Troubleshoot the Sun Salutation and look at where things can go wrong.
  • Work on those tricky pieces and build strength for greater ease and fluidity.
  • Learn what poses build support for an awesome Sun Salutation.
  • Build it into something more challenging and versatile.
  • Adapt it to meet your body where it is.
