The Art of Integration Patricia Walden

from €400
Yogakula Patricia Walden Virabhadrasana2 Weg

This year we celebrate 100 years since the birth of BKS Iyengar. Through his years of devoted practice, Guruji understood how asana and pranayama can be the means to reach the Self, how through the art of integration, the path of yoga can lead us to ultimate freedom.

In Light on Yoga he says that the final integration of the different aspects of our being “at last brings access to the knowledge of the soul to join that of the heart and body.”

How can we learn from his teachings of both asana and the yoga sutras to practice and teach in a more integrative way? Join Patricia Walden, one of Guruji’s senior students, as we explore the art of integration.

Patricia Walden is a uniquely inspiring teacher renowned for her keen observation, the dynamic depth of her teaching, and the elegant refinement of her practice. She is one of only two North Americans who hold a senior advanced certificate in the Iyengar method.

Patricia came to yoga in her early 20s, as a spiritual calling. In 1976, she met B.K.S Iyengar and was immediately struck by his light, energy, insight, and genius, as well as by his joy in yoga and delightful humor. She became his devoted student and has been traveling to Pune, India to study with him (and his daughter Geeta) every year since. Under his guidance, she has developed her own methodical and inspirational approach to practice and teaching.

Patricia’s classes are infused with wisdom, humor, and the philosophy of yoga. Her aspiration is that students leave class seated in their hearts with fearlessness, having touched the deeper levels of their being.
